Have you ever felt that way after a “vacation”? Like you need a vacation from your vacation? I sure feel that way this week. This pregnancy I have been much more tired than I was last time and it really hit me hard while we were gone.
So, where did we go? We went to Beavers Bend with all of my family. Well everyone but my Dad who ran a pet hotel for everyone while we were gone! Now that guy needs a vacation!
We did all the fun things that you can imagine doing in a cabin. There was marshmallow roasting, boating, bugs. Lots and lots of bugs. Haha.
We even went to a petting zoo! Where they had every kind of animal imaginable. Turns out Elliott is not the biggest chicken fan. Boy is that a disappointment to his mother that wants chickens soooooo bad!
That’s camping/forgot the shampoo hair I’m experiencing there. Here’s a tip, if you have curly hair, DO NOT forget your shampoo and conditioner and then take pictures all over the place.
I think that Flint had the most fun at the petting zoo.
We had so much fun but will all the little kids camping is much more for them than it is for the adults. I felt like we spent the whole time making sure no one died!
I have spent the rest of this week catching back up from being gone. There should be a lot more posts here in the next week. I have so many projects going and I have my nesting hormones on high. I can’t wait to share everything going on. Plus the garden has grown like crazy, crazy out of control. So, many more posts on that soon.
Time for a little birdie report.
Elliott got to bring home his PECS book! It’s almost been two weeks and he has become a master at asking for what he wants. His top wants include watching people play Zelda, Mario Cart 8, and Mario Odyssey. Next in line is definitely going outside to play in the back yard.
The first day he had his book he asked to go to the park. Of course I had to take him. It was so cute. It was one of the windiest days this spring. I think the wind gusts were around 40mph. He had a blast though.
Flint is also enjoying having his little brother ask him for things with his book. Here they are playing Zelda together.
Elliott’s favorite food to ask for with his book is donut holes. We don’t have them all the time but every once in a while he loves them.
I had the most wonderful Mother’s Day. My boys worked hard all afternoon in the heat while I lounged on a blanket! The front bed is planted now. Even better I have everything for my summer vegetable garden planted and some additional flower pretties for my backyard. This is the earliest we have ever had everything done and I am so excited to see how everything grows and transforms. There will be so much to learn from this year that can be applied to future gardens and landscapes. It’s all so exciting.
We were so lucky to be able to travel over the Thanksgiving weekend this year. I have been wanting to take the boys to Branson. I know the little one wouldn’t get much out of it but I knew that Flint would be too old soon so we thought the timing was perfect. I won’t go into a lot of detail but I did want to share some of the pictures with you.
